Success so far...

LEGI can report that great progress continues across the programme with targets for assisting businesses, creating new jobs and generating additional sales already exceeded. We are also extremely close to reaching our targets for establishing new social enterprises and safeguarding existing businesses and are on course to meet our new business start up target as well. Since the programme’s launch in April 2006, LEGI has worked with over 2,000 people, helping them into enterprise or employment or to grow their business. As you can see from the table these figures are encouraging, particularly as the majority of successes have been achieved over the past 12 months. In particular, as a direct result of LEGI support for existing businesses in the city, additional sales of over £4 million have been generated against a target of £2.4 million.
